Islington Wedding Photography // Gina and Joe
For their wedding ceremony, Gina and Joe chose Islington Town Hall. This Islington wedding venue is renowned for its grand façade, marble staircase, and unique ceremony rooms. The wedding took place in the Council Chamber, which features a vaulted ceiling and beautiful stained-glass windows and an intimate semicircle seating plan. After the wedding ceremony, guests awaited the newlyweds with a shower of confetti, flowers, and balloons.
To keep their wedding day wholly in Islington, for the reception Gina and Joe chose the Islington Metal Works. This unique venue is proudly urban and steeped in history. The late 19th-century building originally served as a horse stable and later metal works. Every element of this venue is full of character, from large industrial windows to quirky graffiti-covered walls. The wedding decorations followed suit; colourful paper lanterns, balloons, and fairy lights were everywhere. The stage with its graffiti backdrop was perfect for the music and wedding speeches that followed. Later in the evening, the lights dimmed, and it was time for dancing. Gina and Joe's son Lucas charmed everyone when he joined the newlyweds on the dance-floor for their first dance.
This incredibly fun wedding was the epitome of urban weddings, proving that you don't need to travel far to find great venues.
